Founded on a
Global Insight
Institut de Langues d'Affaires (ILA) was founded in 2002 by Jackie Sleiman Bourret, whose career in business development and corporate training took her across several countries and international business environments.
Through her work with professionals around the world, she observed a common challenge: many highly capable professionals had the technical expertise to succeed internationally but lacked the confidence to communicate effectively in professional and social settings.
She recognized that business language training requires more than grammar and vocabulary, it requires understanding how people communicate, negotiate, and build relationships across cultures. That insight became the foundation of ILA's methodology and the training of a team of coaches who deliver the same high standards and learner- centred approach across every program.
